美国麻省总医院鸟瞰
2012-2013年度美国新闻与世界报道版最佳医院日前出炉，入选最佳医院榜的医学中心个个都是佼佼者。在全美5000家医院中，这一排行榜的成员只占其中的0.4%。
在本年度的排行榜中，麻省总医院取代了约翰霍普金斯医院成为了NO.1，终结了后者21年的统治地位。不过后者依然位居榜眼。季军获得者是声名赫赫的梅奥诊所。另外，榜单中还有一位新成员：印第安纳大学医学中心（ Indiana University Health）。按地域分布进行统计的的话，名院榜中有三家位于纽约，两家位于波士顿。
